Ramesh Anthony

Welcome to Vedicfriend. With more than thirty years of personal exploration and research in Vedic astrology, I created this platform to make Jyotish more accessible, thoughtful and meaningful, while preserving the profound depth that makes it a lifelong discipline of study.

Throughout that journey, I have always considered myself first and foremost a continuing student of the tradition. That ongoing inquiry inspired Vedicfriend: a welcoming space bringing traditional principles and modern tools together for seekers exploring their first birth chart, as well as experienced astrologers and researchers investigating subtle principles of interpretation.

🌅 Ancient Wisdom, Thoughtful Exploration

Jyotish is often translated as the “science of light.” For me, that light represents an invitation to understand ourselves more deeply: our tendencies, strengths, challenges and the changing seasons of life.

Vedicfriend encourages an approach grounded in curiosity, reflection and personal agency. A horoscope can offer a framework for exploring possibilities, while leaving room for your judgement, choices and lived experience.

Planetary periods (Dashas) and transits (Gochara) form part of this interpretive tradition. They provide perspectives on timing and recurring themes, inviting us to consider when to act, when to reflect and where greater awareness may be helpful.

🏛️ For Seekers, Astrologers and Researchers

Vedicfriend is being developed with three connected communities in mind:

My aim is to make the platform approachable for newcomers and increasingly useful for those who wish to study further.

🪐 Traditional Foundations, Modern Tools

Vedicfriend brings together established astrological methods and modern astronomical calculations. Its calculation framework includes:

These foundations support the exploration of planetary placements, relationships and timing. Astronomical accuracy provides a basis for calculating a chart; interpreting its meaning requires context, judgement and thoughtful study.

The KP Prashna feature offers another avenue for exploring specific questions, including situations where reliable birth details are unavailable.

🌱 A Community for Practice, Research and Shared Learning

My vision is to develop Vedicfriend into a collaborative space where astrologers and researchers can access chart tools, share case studies, explain their predictive methods and showcase their work.

Through respectful discussion and transparent review of predictions and outcomes, we can learn from one another and deepen our understanding of Jyotish.

As part of this planned capability currently being developed, contributors will be able to share methods and review results transparently—recording astrological analyses before events occur, with clear dates, defined outcomes, and subsequent reviews (including unsuccessful predictions). This gives researchers something meaningful to examine and helps contributors build genuine, earned credibility.

If you would like to contribute or take part in this developing community, I welcome your interest.
